The La Canada Flintridge Trails Council is a non profit, volunteer organization established in 1974. Dedicated to developing, preserving, promoting, and maintaining our local and regional trail systems, the LCF Trails Council works closely with the County of Los Angeles and the City of La Cañada Flintridge to keep the 23 miles of trails open, accessible, and enjoyable.
The Flint Canyon Trail, which parallels Berkshire Avenue, provides a trail link between the cities of Pasadena and Glendale. The trail crosses Chevy Chase Drive as it climbs up to the Cherry Canyon Open Space Trails.
Cherry Canyon has a number of exciting and varied trails, affording spectacular views. The Owl Trail, Liz's Loop, Cerro Negro Trail, The Ultimate Destination Trail; and the newest trail, the Conservancy Trail are all maintained by the City of La Cañada Flintridge.
The Cross Town Trail climbs from Foothill Boulevard into the San Gabriel Mountain foothills, crosses Angeles Crest Highway and joins the Gabrielino Trail in the Arroyo Seco.
The Gould Canyon Trail, located north of Foothill Boulevard, connects with the Cross Town Trail near Harter Lane.
Horse Lane, a wide, flat trail, travles from Foothill Boulevard to the Gould Canyon Trail.
Hall Beckley Canyon Recreation Area was dedicated in 2003. Funded by the the Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy and the City of La Cañada Flintridge, the trail begins in a wooded meadow and follows the fire trail up into the foothills. The trailhead is near the intersection of Palm Drive and La Sierra Drive, north of Fairmont Avenue.
The LCF Trails Council encourages all residents to use this unique community asset. Take a hike, a ride, or a walk. It is possible right here in our own backyard.
